Alternative Provision / EOTAS
We are approved by Worcestershire and Dudley Local Authorities to provide Alternative Provision and EOTAS support.
In Worcestershire, we provide online Alternative Provision and EOTAS packages.
In Dudley, we provide both online support and in-person provision from our Halesowen Youth Hub.
We offer 1:1 and small-group mentoring, social and interest-led sessions designed to support emotional wellbeing, build self-confidence, develop positive relationships with trusted adults and help young people reconnect with learning, community and the world around them.
Our provision works particularly well for young people who may be experiencing emotionally based school avoidance, anxiety, school trauma, social isolation or difficulties accessing a traditional school environment.
We focus on creating safe, consistent and supportive relations
hips first. From there, we help young people build confidence, develop communication and social skills, explore their interests, work towards meaningful outcomes and take positive steps towards education, training, independence and future opportunities.
Our approach is flexible, person-centred and built around the individual young person, rather than expecting the young person to fit into a standard programme.
What can an AP or E
OTAS package include?
Every package is built around the individual young person, their needs, interests, outcomes and EHCP provision where relevant.
Support can include:
• 1:1 mentoring and trusted adult support
• Small-group social sessions
• Online youth work and supported social interaction
• Minecraft, Roblox and interest-led digital activities
• Digital skills, coding and creative technology
• LEGO, gaming and project-based learning
• Creative and practical activities
• Confidence building and emotional wellbeing support
• Communication and relationship-building skills
• Support to reduce isolation and increase engagement
• AQA Unit Awards and other recognised learning outcomes
• Arts Award opportunities
• Supported progression towards education, training, volunteering or employment
• In-person sessions at our Halesowen Youth Hub for eligible Dudley placements
• Online provision for young people who engage more successfully from home
For some young people, the first meaningful outcome may simply be joining a session, speaking to a trusted adult, interacting with another young person or beginning to feel safe enough to engage.
We recognise those steps for what they are: important progress.
Our aim is not to recreate school online or in a different building.
We create provision that meets young people where they are and gives them a realistic route towards confidence, connection, learning and their next steps.
